Cfr Engine Installation Conditions

The laboratory where the cfr engine is installed shall conform to the following conditions:

• It is desirable that the laboratory should be located in the ground floor. The room should be kept bright, clean without dust and dry.
• The temperature in the laboratory should be controlled in the range of 10℃ ~ 30℃, and keep relatively stable. If air conditioning is needed, the air outlet cannot directly point to the engine, should be indirect transfer of temperature.
• Position the exhaust and crankcase ventilation pipes to provide exhaust through the roof or walls with minimal changes in pipe length and direction.
• It is recommended to install a ventilation system at 0.5 m～1.0 m above the engine to exhaust volatile gases during fuel rating.
• Locate the power supply and water supply & drainage for convenient connection to the equipment.
• Place fire extinguishers for easy of access as well as compliance to local codes and regulations.

380V with 50Hz/60Hz three-phase power supply for cfr engine shall be ready in the laboratory.

Cfr Engine Foundation

Installation of the cfr engine and instrumentation requires placement on a suitable foundation and hook-up of all utilities. Engineering and technical support for this foundation is required, if necessary. And the user shall be responsible to comply with all local and national codes and installation requirements.

Proper operation of the cfr octane engine requires assembly of a number of engine components and adjustment of a series of engine variables to prescribed specifications. Some of these settings are established by component specifications, others are established at the time of cfr engine assembly or after overhaul, and still others are engine running conditions that must be observed or determined by the operator during the testing process.
